Bring Vaga to 13km range (I know you don't WANT to but still) and re-apply best ammo for said range.
If you fly the vaga out at 20km+ then...well...not sure what to say other than you run into the info you just posted. I am curious how fast people get their nano-zealots up to (never really see any so I don't know first-hand). ---

13km is not practical at all, it's not a choice because you will die in most cases. It's not a risk you can assume. Or, if you prefer some analogy, its like having an armor tank with only kinetic hardeners because you are in jita (caldari space) and hoping your war targets only use kinetic damage.
I haven't had any problems at 13 - 15km orbit ranges yet? I'm assuming you're afraid of getting that close to web range though right? Not sure what issues you've come across all I know is I haven't had any problems between 13 to 15 yet. ---

You guys are going off topic. The point was that the Vaga setup posted was waaaaay better than the Zealot. ---

Originally by: gnshadowninja I can say right now, avoid anything with neutralizers in a Vaga, the guy in my kill in my sig found that out the hard way.
I found this out yesterday but I was in dock range of a station. Why the guy decided to show me his setup on that BS, I will never knowwwwww.
And yeah I do criticize the Zealot because I've tried using (for my purposes) and it just doesn't work out. A Heavy Pulse setup would be better spent on a Harbinger (again, for my purposes, not for your solo vs ratters in 0.0 stuff), and a nano setup imo would be better spent on a Vagabond in the event that I have to engage something other than a ratter. Chances of that happening in 0.0 are very high in my opinion, regardless of region.
Also keep in mind a lot of ratters still fit cloaks...right? =P ---

What is it you're doing with the Zealot again?
Strictly killing ratters? Ratters that don't harden against EM damage and do harden against damage that the vaga uses?
If I understand this correctly...why are we on this page number =P
PS: I'd still take a vaga even if it means I kill the ratters slower. I like the speed advantage and drones. I'm assuming you have somewhere that you can dock and re-stock your drones up not far from your area. Or are you logging out in space? If you're logging in space then yeah probably zealot if you don't want to worry about ammo/drones. ---
